My review of "Fishing the New Jersey Coast"
Fishing the New Jersey Coast is great!
A quality reference

A New Yorker is impressedThis is a book I've used for reference because even we New Yorkers don't know every neighborhood, every dining bargain (though we like to think we do).
When friends are coming to town, I go to this book to recommend hotels that they'll particularly like because the descriptions really give you a feel for the ambience of the place, who would be most comfortable there (and places some people WOULDN'T be comfortable in).
New York is one expensive town, and I particularly appreciate the tips for low-cost (and free) entertainment: bars with no cover charge where you can hear live music, ways to get breaks on theater tickets, a list of when some cultural institutions have free admission. It's a good book to have around even if you don't have friends coming to town!
Easy-to-use, for the perfect Economist
Tattoo it , pin it, handcuff yourself to it.

Fond of FYI
The BEST guidebook EVER!
"The Out of Towners"

outstandingso many memories. The pictures are wonderful and bring out the beauty of the Amish way of life. I have always
been fascinated with the Amish and was fortunate enough to get into an Amish home in Indiana and ths book brings about the essence of these plain, and simple people. It is a book that I will always treasure because of it's beauty and simplicity. It certainly needs no words to accompany the pictures. The pictures of the children certainly show their enjoyment of life.
A Shared GiftHe has managed to capture the spirit of the Amish - their simple life and their everyday lifestyle. You see their spirit shining through in these photos. The children are particularly beautiful and look so happy and innocent.
The photos of the landscape are equally wonderful. It was only on my third *reading* of this book that I realized what they were missing : electric poles and wires. These photos could have been taken 100 years ago, the landscape is so unspoiled!
I thank Bill Coleman for giving me this glimpse into the Amish world. Although I live not far from where he took these photos, they allowed me an inside look.
Beautiful...The photgrapher captures the simplicity of Amish life in well-executed images. The photographs cover all aspects of Amish life, without being overly intrusive.
If you have ever been fascinated with the Amish lifestyle, pick up this beautiful book.
While I understand the lack of description, [the editor/author did not want to draw away from the simplicity of the photographs--and the point of this book is simplicity], I think that something was missing in this respect.
If you are looking for the definitive book on Amish, I would have to tell you to pick up this book AND something with more written information. The combination would be a great asset.
I cannot, however, detract from the five stars that I have given this book, simply because of its beauty. It is wonderful.

Wonderful resource.
Good use of Native SpeciesThis book is great. It takes advantage of some great underused native plants from the Mid Atlantic. It is very helpful because it provides plant spacing and maintenance. Most plants are low maintenance, all year interest.
I have used the landscape plans in my yard and will continue to use this book as my number one reference.
Great Book!

a new lease on life
Let's cut to the chase-It's a [darn] good book!Estrada and Cleemann seem to found of blend of both "hominess and sophiscation" without having sold out ot either. Their reviews are excellent and right on the money. The book is easy to navigate and completely accurate (speaking from my experience- and I tend to think I know what I'm talking about).
Hungry? is a necessary resource for both NYC visitors and locals. It won't take long for the pages to be curled back and for the spine to start to crinkle!
This book changed my life!
